- All of the Canadiens’ 12 forwards and eight defensemen were on the ice for the team’s morning skate in the lead up to their Wednesday night game against the Washington Capitals.
- Carey Price is slated to start between the pipes for his 40th game of the 2011-12 season on Wednesday night.
- Randy Cunneyworth mentioned that fans can likely expect the same lineup when the puck drops against the Capitals, meaning that Petteri Nokelainen and Chris Campoli should both be healthy scratches.
- Rene Bourque will play in his first game against the Capitals since being suspended for five games for an elbow to the head of Nicklas Backstrom on January 3rd.

- Mathieu Darche, Brian Gionta, Hal Gill, Travis Moen, Josh Gorges, Mike Blunden and Carey Price along with their better-halves, all got together for the launch of the “Cooking with the Canadiens” project, in collaboration with Ricardo. The magazine features a series of recipes created by members of the Canadiens and their spouses.

- Both Roman Hamrlik and Jeff Halpern will be playing at the Bell Centre for the first time this season since being traded from the Canadiens to the Capitals over the course of the off season.
