MONTREAL  – The Canadiens announced Tuesday that forward Mikhaïl Grabovski has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. Grabovski will join the team today and will be available for tonight’s game against the Atlanta Thrashers.

The 24-year-old centreman scored 20 points (8 goals, 12 assists) and posted a plus-2 rating in 12 games this season with the Canadiens’ affiliate. Grabovski, who missed 25 games due to an ankle injury, leads the Bulldogs with a 1,66 point-per-game average.

The Russian forward recently earned AHL Player of the week honors for the period ending February 17 with 10 points (5 goals, 5 assists) and a plus-1 rating, while being named first star three out of four games over that span. In his last seven games, Grabovski scored eight goals (including four game winners), added 10 assists for 18 points and posted a plus-3 rating.

Grabovski registered two points in 12 games with the Canadiens this season (1-1-2) before being assigned to Hamilton on December 5, 2007.
