Habby birthday Jaro!

by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens
MONTREAL -- Exactly 37 years ago today, the Spacek clan was swaddling their new bundle of joy, Jaroslav in blankets at the hospital in Rokycany, Czech Republic not knowing that their little guy was taking his first breaths on his way to NHL stardom. As the Habs’ birthday boy gets set to blow out the candles today, why not take a minute to see what else has gone down on this date in history.

The Year of the Rabbit
Missing the cutoff for the Year of the Tiger by one day, Spacek may have lucked out in being born a Rabbit according to the Chinese zodiac. People born in the Year of the Rabbit are articulate, talented, and ambitious. They are virtuous, reserved, and have excellent taste. Rabbit people are admired trusted, and are often financially lucky. The Rabbit is quite keen and pays close attention to the situations developing around him. He is intelligent and quick and can talk himself in or out of most situations with no problem.

With the news breaking recently that Zodiac signs may or may not have changed, we couldn’t decide what traits Spacho really possesses based on the stars. Is he still the same old Aquarius he’s always been, or is it time for Jaroslav to embrace his alleged-Capricornious-ness at age 37?

Traditional Aquarius Traits
Friendly and humanitarian
Honest and loyal
Original and inventive
Independent and intellectual

Traditional Capricorn Traits
Practical and prudent
Ambitious and disciplined
Patient and careful
Humorous and reserved
