The Canadiens will wrap up their preseason schedule with a home-and-home series against the Ottawa Senators which gets underway on Thursday night in Montreal.
In their last outing, Michel Therrien’s troops bested the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City. Andrei Markov, P.K. Subban and Lars Eller registered two points each in the win.
On Wednesday, Therrien confirmed that Max Pacioretty would be back in the lineup on Thursday night. The 26-year-old forward has been sidelined with a knee injury since July. Pacioretty will play on a line with Brendan Gallagher on right wing and Tomas Plekanec at center.
The Canadiens’ first-round pick in 2015, Noah Juulsen, will also make his preseason debut on Thursday night. The Abbotsford, BC native is making his return to active duty after suffering a concussion earlier this summer.
In addition to Juulsen, Charles Hudon and Sven Andrighetto will be the two other young guns in uniform to battle the Senators.
