Game Preview: Canadiens vs. Predators

The Canadiens kick off the week with a Monday night match-up against the Nashville Predators at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
On Friday night versus the Philadelphia Flyers, captain Max Pacioretty’s 21st goal of the season evened the game at 2-2 late in the 3rd period, extending the contest into a shootout. Two perfectly placed top corner shots from Pacioretty and Paul Byron would put the Canadiens ahead before Mike Condon shut the door to give the Habs the 3-2 win.
In the Predators camp, Monday night’s contest in Montreal kicks off a tough stretch that sees the team play three road games in just four nights. On Saturday night in Nashville, Tanner Pearson scored to give the Los Angeles King’s the 2-1 overtime victory.
Following a stellar performance in Friday night’s shootout victory over the Flyers, rookie netminder Mike Condon is expected to be back between the pipes against the Predators.
In the injury department, defenseman Tom Gilbert will not be available for Monday's affair after sustaining a lower-body injury on Friday night. As a result, Mark Barberio will take Gilbert's sport in the lineup while Tomas Fleischmann will also draw back in, replacing Lucas Lessio.
A win by the Canadiens would even the season series between the two teams, as the Predators took the first game by the score of 5-1.
