by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens

CANADIENS (2-2-2) @ Senators (2-2-2)

The Habs are set to play their final game of the preseason against the Senators in Ottawa on Saturday night.

The Canadiens are looking to rebound after dropping the first half of the home-and-away series against the Senators by a score of 5-2 at the Bell Centre on Thursday night. Though the Canadiens jumped out to an early lead while dominating in the shots on goal department (outshooting Ottawa 42-21), Ottawa responded with five unanswered goals to win the game.

Andrei Markov and Nathan Beaulieu scored for Montreal, while Cody Ceci, Mark Stone, Mike Hoffman, Clarke MacArthur and Patrick Wiercioch chipped in for the Senators. Leading the way for the Senators were Cody Ceci and Mark Stone who finished the evening with three points each.

On Saturday night, Canadiens fans will see a lineup that could look very similar to the lineup coach Michel Therrien ices against the Maple Leafs in the regular season opener on Wednesday in Toronto. Note that Carey Price, P.K. Subban, Andrei Markov and Alexander Semin did not accompany the team to Ottawa. Tomas Fleischmann (professional tryout), Greg Pateryn, Jarred Tinordi and Jacob de la Rose will be in uniform.

Dustin Tokarski is expected to get the start in net, as he has yet to play a full 60-minute game in the preseason. Either veteran Craig Anderson or former Boston University goaltender Matt O’Connor will be between the pipes for the Senators, with Andrew Hammond suffering a groin injury during training camp.

The game will be broadcasted on RDS with puck drop set for 7:00 p.m.
