Five more sent to Hamilton

27 players remain at Canadiens training camp


MONTREAL - Canadiens GM Bob Gainey announced Wednesday that five players were assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. Twenty-seven players are still at training camp.

The five players who will report to Hamilton are forwards Corey Locke, Andrei Kostitsyn and Jonathan Ferland, as well as defensemen Jean-Philippe Côté and Andrew Archer. The Bulldogs began their training camp on Sept. 23 in Caledonia, Ontario.

The Canadiens will play their next preseason game Wednesdat night in Moncton against the Bruins, and will play their final two games against the Ottawa Senators on Oct. 1 and Oct. 2.
