- Carey Price will get his 47th start of the season on Thursday night. Price is 3-1-2 in six career starts against the Islanders.

- Travis Moen didn’t travel with the team, arriving in Uniondale late on Wednesday night. His wife, Amy, gave birth to the couple’s second child, a daughter named Blayke, on Wednesday morning. The proud father reported that both mom and baby are happy and healthy.

- Aaron Palushaj was on the ice on Thursday morning after being called up from the Hamilton Bulldogs on Wednesday night.

- Randy Cunneyworth will make a game-time decision regarding his plans to go with a lineup of 11 forwards and seven defenseman or a 12-6 formation. The Habs head coach confirmed that Raphael Diaz will make his return to action after being a healthy scratch in the team’s last two games.
