- Blake Geoffrion met with the media prior to Wednesday’s game to give a medical update three months after suffering a depressed skull fracture on Nov. 9 against the Syracuse Crunch. Geoffrion hasn’t resumed training and is slated to meet with team doctors on Thursday for further evaluation.

- Three different Bulldogs had multi-point nights in the team’s 6-4 win over the Toronto Marlies on Wednesday, including Louis Leblanc (two goals), Nathan Beaulieu (one goal, one assist) and Gabriel Dumont (one goal, one assist).

- The Canadiens did not practice on Thursday morning after arriving in Buffalo late on Wednesday night.

- Travis Moen will not play Thursday night against the Sabres due to a lower body injury. Ryan White will take his place in the lineup.

- Peter Budaj will make his second start of the season for the Canadiens. He has a 3-1-1 lifetime record against the Sabres in five games.
