- After missing the Canadiens’ last five games, Travis Moen was back on the ice with the rest of the Habs for the team’s morning skate. Moen sported a burgundy jersey, signalling that he had yet to be cleared for contact. Randy Cunneyworth later explained that the 29-year-old defenseman will meet with the team’s medical staff later in the day and could find himself facing the Penguins tonight.

- Ryan White showed just how ready he was to get back to action after a lengthy recovery from a sports hernia. Joining the Bulldogs for a conditioning stint before being added to the Canadiens’ lineup, White kicked things off in style, scoring two goals in the game’s first 10 minutes and 37 seconds.

- With Aaron Palushaj being sent back down to the Hamilton Bulldogs, the Habs’ head coach ran the morning practice with 10 forwards and eight defensemen. If Moen is unable to go against Pittsburgh, Cunneyworth expressed that fans could see more of the same in Tuesday night’s game.
