- Ryan White and Ian Schultz didn’t take part in the Canadiens' Monday morning practice. After having just played three games in three nights with the Bulldogs, both players were given the morning to rest since arriving from Hamilton. They’ll both be available to face the Hurricanes if needed, but Randy Cunneyworth confirmed the decision will only be made later in the day.

- Yannick Weber and Petteri Nokelainen both skated with Canadiens’ strength and conditioning coach, Pierre Allard, Monday morning on Brossard’s second rink. According to Randy Cunneyworth, Weber stands the chance to make a return to action before the week is out.

- Cunneyworth also confirmed that Carey Price will start in nets Monday night for the Habs’ match-up with the Hurricanes. It will be Price’s 49th start of the season. He currently leads the league in number of minutes played, with a total of 2908.
