- After skating in Brossard on Thursday, Max Pacioretty participated in his first full team practice since undergoing an emergency appendectomy last Saturday.

- Carey Price will be back in goal for the Canadiens on Saturday afternoon against the Sabres after he had the night off versus the Senators on Wednesday night at Scotiabank Place.

- Canadiens head coach Michel Therrien said no decision has been made as of yet on defenseman P.K. Subban's return to the lineup.

- The Hamilton Bulldogs get the second half of their AHL season underway tonight when Sylvain Lefebvre’s squad hosts the Grand Rapids Griffins at Copps Coliseum. With a record of 14-21-1-5 (34 points), the Bulldogs sit last in the AHL’s Western Conference.

- Several Canadiens’ prospects enjoyed a productive month of January with their respective Junior teams. Tim Bozon, selected 64th overall by the Canadiens in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, picked up 14 points (5 G, 9 A) in 11 games with the WHL’s Kamloops Blazers. He’s ninth in league scoring with 67 points (29 G, 38 A). Charles Hudon, selected 122nd overall last year, amassed 16 points (7 G, 9 A) in 13 games with the QMJHL’s Chicoutimi Saguenéens. In 40 games played this season, Hudon has collected 52 points (25 G, 27 A).
