MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens announced Wednesday that the team will hold its annual development camp, from July 5-9, at the Bell Sports Complex, in Brossard.
A total of 43 players will participate in the development camp, including 26 forwards, 13 defensemen and four goaltenders. All five players selected by the Canadiens at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft held last weekend in Sunrise, Florida, will be among the participants, including first round selection Noah Juulsen.
The list of players invited to the development camp includes 22 prospects drafted by the Canadiens organization, two players acquired through free agency and 19 players invited on a try-out basis (see list of players).
Players will be divided into two groups (A-B). The first on-ice practice session will be on Sunday, July 5, from 10:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. on both ice surfaces of the Bell Sports Complex. On-ice practice sessions will take place in the morning for the remainder of the week. Scrimmages will also be held on Tuesday, July 7 and Wednesday, July 8, at 4 p.m. A three-period intra-squad game will be played on Thursday, July 9, at 9:30 a.m. All practices are open to the public.
