BROSSARD – The Canadiens’ annual Development Camp continued on Thursday at the Bell Sports Complex. Prospects and invitees worked out for a fourth straight day since arriving in Montreal last weekend.
All players in attendance took part in a variety of training sessions both on and off the ice ahead of the third intra-squad game of the week.
Jacob De La Rose, who scored during the scrimmage on Wednesday, affirmed that scoring goals always feels good, even if it’s only in an exhibition tilt.
“It was my first scrimmage game, so it was really nice to get a goal,” offered De La Rose. “It’s always nice to score. I think everyone here wants to show how good they are. I’m just trying to play my best game. I’m always trying to score goals out there. I work hard and I try to do a good job every day.”
Zachary Fucale, who is currently in the midst of his second Development Camp experience, is trying to soak up as much as he can this time around.
“We’ve always got something to prove when we hit the ice. We all want to play professionally at one time or another, so we always have to hit the ice with a goal in mind and just play like we always play. During the week, we talk to all of the coaches and we learn. That helps our development.”
At 4 p.m. EST, players will hit the ice once again for another scrimmage, while a fourth intra-squad game will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. EST on the final day of Development Camp.
