Forwards Phillip Danault and Nick Suzuki spoke with reporters via Zoom, along with assistant coach Luke Richardson.
Here are a few highlights from their respective chats:
Danault on the changes the Habs must make ahead of Game 2:
There was a lot of emotion in the first game. The crowd was loud. It was a little bit intimidating for the younger guys. It was a lot like the first game in Vegas. We were spectators in the first game. We need to roll up our sleeves and go to war.

Danault on not facing the line of Ondrej Palat, Nikita Kucherov and Brayden Point because of Jon Cooper's coaching strategy:
It's definitely a little bit frustrating. I completely understand his way of coaching. We need to elevate our game as a group. Nick can also play against the opposition's top players. He's a good center at both ends of the ice. We need to play better together.
Suzuki on the challenge of defending against Palat, Kucherov and Point:
They move the puck well. They've been playing together for a while, so they make little plays to each other in tight. All of them can make plays, shoot the puck well and have a lot of speed. I thought we handled them pretty well when we were getting hemmed in a little bit, and then had some shifts when we had them hemmed in. We just have to do a better job of cleaning up turnovers, limit their time and space, and try our best to keep them off the scoresheet.

Suzuki on bouncing back in Game 2:
This game is about adjustments. We'll have a meeting and see what we can do better. When we were executing, we broke the puck out well, had some good rush chances, and good offensive zone chances. Some of the puck bounces didn't go our way last night, and some of them went in our net, so we'll regroup, see what we need to do better, and go at it again.
Richardson on the status of winger Brendan Gallagher after an incident that left him bleeding late in the third period:
Gally is Gally. He's got marks all over his face every game. He had a little bit of a goose egg last night, but it seemed to be a little better. He doesn't look great. He looks like a roadmap right now, but he'll be there battling and in everybody's face at the crease just the same as he always is. He's a warrior. We count on him to be that way, and he will be back doing his thing tomorrow night.

Richardson on the Canadiens' ability to overcome difficult performances:
We're playing pretty good hockey this time of year to get this far. It's not a fluke. They're a great group put together for this time of the year. They're having fun together. They're a real team. That team bond is their driving force. They're pushing for each other and playing hard. They were unhappy after the game last night. You're going to see a more determined effort. You've seen that in every series. We've gotten better as all three series have gone on, and we expect that to happen again here in the Final.
