After the on-ice session, assistant coach Luke Richardson spoke with reporters via Zoom.
He was followed by forwards Cole Caufield and Phillip Danault.
Here are a few highlights from their respective chats:
Richardson on the Canadiens' composure in the postseason:
Our guys are feeling very confident right now. It's a credit to our leadership group, which is led by Shea Weber. He brings stability, not just on the ice, but how he composes himself and how he talks on the bench, in between periods and after games. Guys like Corey Perry and Eric Staal have been big additions to our team this year. I think everybody's feeling confident, everybody knows their role, and they're playing exceptionally well. That's going to continue, whether we're in the lead, whether we're behind, tied, in overtime, or at the start of the game. We want to keep that same mindset.

Richardson on the Habs' road success in the playoffs

Richardson on Marc Bergevin, who's a finalist for the General Manager of the Year Award, which will be presented tonight:
I've known Marc for a long time. He was always a passionate player. He was the same way in management with Chicago and the same way here with Montreal. He's very passionate about the players that he brings in. He believes in them. He talks to them and lets them know that he believes in them. There's a really good feeling in organization, right from top to bottom. It's a family, and it's coming through in our play right now. It starts at the top. It always does in an organization, and it's top of the line here. I'm just fortunate enough to be a part of it.

Caufield on Vegas goaltender Robin Lehner's comments regarding his tendency to shoot high or between the legs:
That's a good thing that he's thinking about what I'm going to do. I'm just taking that into the next game. It's good that he's kind of opening his mouth. You know what he's thinking now, so I can kind of go off that, create new things to do and new things to look at.

Game 5 pregame media availability: Caufield & Danault

Caufield on lessons learned from watching fellow winger Brendan Gallagher:
He's a competitor. Everything he does on and off the ice, he wants to win and be the best at. Anytime you can get one up on that guy, you let him know. On the ice, he's a great leader for our team. He does the right things. He competes every shift. It fuels the fire for our team and we kind of feed off him.

Danault on the difficulty of creating offense in the postseason:
It's a byproduct of the systems both teams play. We're solid defensively. We don't give up much. The majority of the time, we give up shots from the outside. It's a tight series, and it'll get even tighter as it continues.

Danault on the series being a best two-out-of-three now:
I don't really know how they'll come out tonight. We can't wait to see what they'll do. We need to continue playing our style and work hard. We want to get the first goal. We need a good start tonight. They adjusted to our style, which is exactly what you need to happen. We want them to adjust to our style, and not the other way around.
