Carey Price earns Molson Cup in November

MONTREAL -- Netminder Carey Price is the Molson Cup Player of the Month for November. Price, who was the overall Molson Cup recipient for 2008-09, is the recipient of the award for the second consecutive month of the 2009-10 season.

Price collected 19 points in the Molson Cup standings for November by virtue of three first-star selection (Nov. 5 at Boston, Nov. 14 at Nashville and Nov. 24 against Columbus), one second-star selection (Nov. 20 at Washington), and one third-star selection (Nov. 17 against Carolina). Price finished ahead of teammate Tomas Plekanec, who earned 15 Molson Cup points last month.

Price had a 5-4-2 record in 11 games in November, with a 2.48 goals against average. He also stopped 302 of the 330 shots he faced for a .915 save percentage.

Price will be presented with the Molson Cup during a pre-game ceremony prior to tonight’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Bell Centre.
