Seven players headed to Hamilton; Price returns to junior

Carey Price will head back to his junior squad, while Kyle Chipchura will head to Hamilton for his first full season with the Bulldogs.


MONTREAL - Canadiens GM Bob Gainey announced Wednesday that seven players have been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. The club also returned goaltender Carey Price to the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League.

Twenty-nine (29) players are still at training camp, including four injured players (Francis Bouillon, Jean-Philippe Côtéé, Mikhail Grabovski, Sheldon Souray).

The seven players who will report to Hamilton are; goaltender Yann Danis, forwards Maxim Lapierre, Jonathan Ferland, Corey Locke, Ajay Baines and Kyle Chipchura, as well as defenseman Danny Groulx. The Bulldogs opened their training camp on September 23 in Hamilton.
