Canadiens send Latendresse back to Drummondville

MONTREAL - Canadiens GM Bob Gainey announced Sunday that forward Guillaume Latendresse was assigned to the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL. Twenty-five players are still at training camp.

Latendresse, 18, played in four preseason games with the Canadiens. He registered five points (three goals, two assists). The Canadiens' second round selection in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, he recorded 78 points in 65 games (29 goals, 49 assists) at the junior level in 2004-05. 

The Canadiens will play their final preseason game Sunday night at the Bell Centre against the Ottawa Senators.
