Canadiens reassign Poehling to Laval

The 21-year-old played 23 games with the Habs since his call-up on December 11

MONTREAL - The Canadiens announced on Saturday that they've reassigned forward Ryan Poehling to the AHL's Laval Rocket.

Poehling, 21, had been called up from Laval on December 11 and played 23 games for the Canadiens since. During the stint, he logged an average of 10:38 of ice time and registered two points (1G, 1A).

The Lakeville, MN native also played four games for the Habs from November 5-12 before being sent to Laval.

In 26 games with the Rocket this season, the 6-foot-2, 204-pounder has five goals for 12 points.

Poehling was the Canadiens' first-round pick (25th overall) in 2017.
