Cayden Primeau

MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens announced today goaltender Cayden Primeau and defenseman Otto Leskinen have been reassigned to the AHL Laval Rocket. The Rocket will begin their training camp on Monday, September 23, at Place Bell.

Primeau, the Canadiens' seventh-round pick in 2017, played on preseason game with Montreal. The 20-year-old goaltender stopped 16 of the 17 shots he faced in a 4-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on Monday at the Bell Centre.
For his part, Leskinen played two exhibition contests with the Canadiens. The rearguard, who signed a two-year contract with the Club on May 7, recorded three shots on net to go along with a plus-3 differential.
The 22-year-old Finn played in the Kraft Hockeyville game on Wednesday in Bathurst, NB against the Florida Panthers. The Habs won that game 4-3.
There are still 39 players at camp (23 forwards, 13 defensemen, 3 goaltenders), including the following injured players: Karl Alzner, Paul Byron, Noah Juulsen, Michael McCarron, Gustav Olofsson, Ryan Poehling and Joël Teasdale.
