Lukas Vejdemo

MONTREAL - Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the team has agreed on the loan of forward Lukas Vejdemo to the Södertälje SK in the Allsvenskan (Sweden), for the start of the 2020-21 season. Vejdemo is expected to report for Montreal & Laval training camps for the 2020-21 season.

The 6'2'' and 196 lbs forward played 47 games with the Laval Rocket in 2019-20, recording 19 points (9 goal, 10 assists). Vejdemo also played seven games with the Canadiens this season, scoring his first NHL career goal on March 10, 2020 against the Nashville Predators.
Vejdemo collected 48 points (22 goals, 26 assists) in 113 AHL career games with the Rocket. Prior to his arrival in North America, the Stockholm, SE native registered 47 points (19 goals, 28 assists) in 147 games with Djurgardens (SHL).
Vejdemo signed a one-year, two-way contract extension with the Canadiens earlier this month.
