MONTREAL - Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced on Thursday that the team has acquired a fifth-round pick in 2021 and forward Andrew Sturtz from the Ottawa Senators, in return for Mike Reilly.

Sturtz, 25, has played in 14 games thus far this season with the AHL's Belleville Senators, recording two points (1 goal, 1 assist). The 5'08'' and 184 lbs forward has also registered two points (1 goal, 1 assist) in four games with the Brampton Beast (ECHL).
In 35 career AHL regular season games with Belleville since his debut in 2017-18, Sturtz has produced 11 points (4 goals, 7 assists). A native of Buffalo, he recorded 104 points (54 goals, 50 assists) in 111 games with Penn State (NCAA - Big Ten).
Acquired in a trade from Minnesota on February 26, 2018, Reilly has recorded four assists in 14 games with the Canadiens this season. The 6'01'' and 200 lbs defenseman displays a +2 differential.
