Here's everything you need to know heading into the game:
1. This will be the Habs' second game in as many nights. On Monday, the Canadiens lost 7-6 in overtime to the Vancouver Canucks despite taking a 4-0 lead in the first period. Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki, Sean Monahan, Michael Pezzetta, Christian Dvorak, and Josh Anderson tallied for the Habs, while Sam Montembeault turned aside 25 shots in his ninth start of the season.

2. The Suzuki-Caufield duo were at it once again on Monday. Both players scored their 14th of the season, and Suzuki has now produced at above a point-per-game clip in his past 12 games, as he picked up his 13th point in that span on the Monahan goal. Caufield's marker gave him his ninth point in that same time period. Those 14 goals each have the duo tied atop the Canadiens' goal-scoring list, with Monahan and Anderson next up with six apiece.

3. The Canadiens won't hold a morning skate on Tuesday, but there will likely be some lineup changes for the Kraken game. That's because Monahan left midway through the Canucks game and did not return. Head coach Martin St-Louis did not have any updates on his health status postgame. The team had also announced on Monday morning that defenseman David Savard was day-to-day with an upper-body injury, and that Brendan Gallagher, who hadn't dressed since November 29 against San Jose, would be out for at least two weeks.
4. The Kraken, for their part, are enjoying a very successful start to their sophomore season. They just had a seven-game winning streak snapped thanks to the Florida Panthers, who beat them 5-1 at home on Saturday to bring their record to 15-6-3. That output has them sitting in second place in the Pacific Division with 33 points - three points ahead of Los Angeles, with three games in hand over the Kings. Andre Burakovsky is the team leader in points with 25 (9G, 16A), followed by Jordan Eberle (22) and Matty Beniers (21). Jared McCann is tops on Seattle with 11 goals, one more than Beniers.
This is the first of two contests between the Habs and Kraken this season; the two clubs are set to renew hostilities on January 9 at the Bell Centre. Last year, Seattle won both games of the season series.
5. Game time is scheduled for 10:00 p.m. ET. You can watch all the action on TSN2 or RDS on television, or listen in on TSN 690 or 98,5 fm on the radio.
