The NHL Entry Draft is the perfect opportunity to bolster your lineup with first-round talent. But every once in a while, a team puts their hands on a franchise-altering player that plays the underdog role to perfection.
That's exactly what happened 12 years ago, on June 26, 2010, when the Canadiens selected Brendan Gallagher with the 147th overall pick.
Not only was Gallagher one of the best players from the draft, he quickly became a fan favorite, which is why we're taking a little trip down memory lane to discuss some of your favorite Gallagher-related highlights.

Few players have scored more even-strength goals than Gallagher, who happened to get his career off to a great start by scoring his first career goal against none other than Martin Brodeur.

There's a reason Canadiens fans immediately fell in love with No.11. His work ethic and dedication are beyond reproach.
