MONTREAL -- The Canadiens placed forwards Joel Armia (upper-body), Jake Evans (lower-body) and Juraj Slafkovsky (lower-body) on injured reserve on Tuesday.

All three players will be sidelined indefinitely and evaluated more thoroughly in the coming days.
Meanwhile, forward Sean Monahan was placed on long-term injured reserve with a lower-body injury. He is continuing his on-ice rehab by himself and progressing well.
Given the injuries, forwards Rafael Harvey-Pinard and Rem Pitlick were recalled from the AHL's Laval Rocket on an emergency basis. They will participate in the morning skate.
Harvey-Pinard has 25 points (15 goals, 10 assists) in 37 games with head coach Jean-François Houle's squad, while Pitlick has 22 points (5 goals, 17 assists) in 18 appearances.
Pitlick also has one goal in 14 games with the Canadiens this season.
For his part, Jonathan Drouin won't participate in the morning skate so he can receive treatment.
Montreal hosts Winnipeg at the Bell Centre tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET.
