Canadiens prospect, Nathan Beaulieu, took another step towards a second Memorial Cup appearance following the St. John Sea Dogs elimination of the Chicoutimi Saguenéens in five games to advance to the QMJHL finals. The defending champions Sea Dogs will square off against the Rimouski Océanic beginning on Friday, with the Océanic coming off a semi-final series win of their own over the Halifax Mooseheads.

After sustaining a lower-body injury on Sunday during an exhibition game against Switzerland in the lead-up to the World Championship, P.K. Subban is still expected to be ready for action when Canada kicks off their first game of the tournament on May 4.
