 - Lars Eller (Denmark), Tomas Plekanec (Czech Republic), Alexei Emelin (Russia), P.K. Subban (Canada) and Max Pacioretty (United States) will be lacing up to represent their respective countries at the World Hockey Championships, taking place at the beginning of May in Finland and Sweden.  

 - In the QMJHL, Nathan Beaulieu is continuing to turn in strong performances for the Sea Dogs, logging three assists in his team’s first two victories over the Baie-Comeau Drakkar. Morgan Ellis and the Cataractes are tied up with one game apiece against the Chicoutimi Saguenéens, with Ellis scoring a goal in both games and Michaël Bournival recording an assist. 

 - In the OHL, Jarred Tinordi and the Knight are trailing 2-1 in their series against the Saginaw Spirit, while in the WHL, Patrick Holland and the Americans are tied with the Spokane Cheifs at one game each.
