MONTREAL - The Canadiens will be pursuing a tradition of more than 50 years on Wednesday, as players and members of the organization visit young patients at CHU Sainte-Justine, the Montreal Children's Hospital and the Shriners Hospital for Children.

Claude Julien's troops will be spreading some holiday cheer and providing encouragement to support kids and their families.
Players will be meeting with children in their rooms, posing for pictures, signing autographs and presenting each youngster with a gift as well.
"It's a great opportunity for us to make an impact on kids in a tough situation and during a special time of the year," said goaltender Carey Price, who is humbled by the annual visit every December. "Being a young father myself, I know that your children mean the world to you, and I'm sure it's not easy for parents going through that situation. Us being able to bring a bright spot into their day is special."
The team will be split up into different groups to give as many children as possible the opportunity to share some precious moments with their favorite Habs.
"It's not the easiest thing to do in the world sometimes, just the nature of it," added Price. "But, just knowing the rewards from it is worth it."
