MONTREAL - After winning the Atlantic division title, the Habs will face the Sens in the first round for a second time in three years.
It also marks the second time the two teams will face off since NHL hockey returned to the nation's capital in 1992. Ottawa surprised the Canadiens in the 2013 showdown in five games, a series that saw Montreal lose Lars Eller, Brian Gionta and Carey Price to injuries.
In four games this season, the Senators came out on the winning end three times, out scoring the Canadiens by a 14-9 margin. In the Habs' only win, Price was between the pipes for a 4-1 victory on December 20 at the Bell Centre. Max Pacioretty led the Habs with four goals and two assists in four games, while Erik Karlsson and Milan Michalek had six points apiece.
