A feast for the eyes

by Staff Writer / Montréal Canadiens

MONTREAL- The past NHL season has featured its share of mind-blowing plays. Whether it’s goals, hits or save, we have witnessed our share of spectacular moments this year.

Check out the tournament bracket here.

With that in mind, we are inviting Canadiens fans everywhere to vote for their favourite moments of the 2013-14 season in the eighth edition of our Play of the Year bracket.

In all, 19 players will take part in a five round, winner-takes-all contest. Top candidates include the explosive blueliner P.K. Subban and cool-as-ice goaltender Carey Price, both of whom are featured four times in the bracket.

Other players to watch include 2012-13 Play of the Year champion Brendan Gallagher and able veteran Tomas Plekanec, who have contributed three plays each to the contest. Alex Galchenyuk, Max Pacioretty, Lars Eller and David Desharnais are also in the running, and could also go all the way thanks to their offensive displays.

In addition, rookie goaltender Dustin Tokarski makes the list thanks to a terrific save against Martin St. Louis in the playoffs.

Now, it’s up to you to decide who moves on. Vote early and often for your favourite play – there are no daily limits to the amount of ballots you can cast. So, if a goal, hit or save really blew your mind, click as many times as you want. Check out the tournament bracket here.
