MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens today announced that 54 players will participate in the 2009-10 training camp. Players will report for physicals and medical exams at the Bell Sports Complex on Saturday, September 12.
The Canadiens first on-ice session will take place at the Bell Sports Complex on Sunday, September 13. The training camp will run through Wednesday, September 30.
From the 54 players invited to training camp; 6 are goaltenders, 18 are defencemen and 30 are forwards. 26 of the 29 players who attended the rookie camp have been invited to the main camp.
The Canadiens completed friday their annual rookie camp at the Bell Sports Complex. From the 29 players invited, three were returned to their respective junior or college team. The list includes forwards Gabriel Dumont
(Drummondville – QMJHL), and Dustin Walsh
