MONTREAL -- The Canadiens continued stocking the cupboards with prospects at the 2022 NHL Draft.

Here's everything that happened at the Bell Centre:
Round 2
Owen Beck selected with 33rd overall pick
General manager Kent Hughes began by adding center Owen Beck to the fold.
The 18-year-old Port Hope, ON native registered 51 points (21 goals, 30 assists) in 68 games with the OHL's Mississauga Steelheads this past season.

Beck (5' 11", 187) was the OHL and CHL Scholastic Player of the Year.
He was the 10th-ranked prospect in NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American skaters.
"I think they saw a lot of good things on both sides of the ice. I provide offence for our team, I have good characteristics like skating and my shot that will translate to the NHL," said Beck. "And being able to shut down the opposing top line is a very valuable asset for a player. I think that's what Montreal saw in me."

Lane Hutson selected with 62nd overall pick
Hughes then added defenseman Lane Hutson.
The American blueliner enjoyed a standout campaign with the United States Development Program's Under-18 Team, producing 63 points (10 goals, 53 assists) and a plus-59 differential in 60 games.
The 18-year-old Chicago native added 32 points (6 goals, 26 assists) in 27 games with the USHL's USNTDP Juniors.

Lane Hutson on being selected 62nd overall

Hutson (5' 8", 158) helped his country claim silver at the Under-18 World Junior Championship, earning best defenseman and tournament All-Star honors as well.
He was the 25th-ranked prospect in NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American skaters.
Hutson is committed to Boston University for the 2023-24 campaign.
"All the talks I had with Montreal went great. I had a feeling they'd take a chance onf me and I couldn't be happier about it," said Hutson. "The market is crazy about Montreal, and so am I."
Round 3
Vinzenz Rohrer selected with 75th overall pick
Another center joined the mix when Vinzenz Rohrer's name was called.
The 17-year-old Austrian pivot registered 48 points (25 goals, 23 assists) in 64 games with the OHL's Ottawa 67's last season.

He also represented his country at the World Junior Championship before the event was canceled due to COVID-19.
Rohrer (5' 10", 167) was the 42nd-ranked prospect in NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American skaters.
"It was an unreal moment. Every kid wants to live it," said Rohrer. "Obviously Montreal has such a great tradition. Me and my family couldn't be happier about it."

Adam Engstrom selected with 92nd overall pick
The Habs' brass turned to Sweden for their next selection, picking defenseman Adam Engstrom.
The 18-year-old blueliner amassed 28 points (8 goals, 20 assists) in 45 games with Djurgårdens IF J20 in the J20 Nationell.

He also made one appearance with Djurgårdens IF in the SHL.
Engstrom (6' 2", 185) was the 38th-ranked prospect in NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of International skaters.
Round 4
Cédrick Guindon selected with 127th overall pick
Hughes added another winger to the stockpile in Cédrick Guindon from the OHL's Owen Sound Attack.
The 18-year-old Rockland, ON native registered 59 points (30 goals, 29 assists) in 68 games this past season.

Guindon (5' 10", 170) was the 59th-ranked prospect in NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American skaters.
"It's a dream come true! We had great conversations with the team," said Guindon. "I think I fit perfectly with what the team is looking for. It's such an honour. It's incredible."

TRADE
The Canadiens dealt the 128th overall pick to the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for a fourth-round selection in the 2023 NHL Draft.
Round 5
Jared Davidson selected with 130th overall pick
Twenty-year-old center Jared Davidson of the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds was the next addition by Hughes.
The Edmonton native produced 89 points (42 goals, 47 assists) in 64 regular-season games, before adding 29 points (13 goals, 16 assists) in 25 postseason appearances.

His outstanding campaign earned him a spot on the WHL (US) First All-Star Team.
Davidson (6' 0", 181) celebrated his birthday on Thursday.
Round 6
Emmett Croteau selected with 162nd overall pick
Hughes selected his first goaltender of the Draft in Emmett Croteau from the USHL's Waterloo Black Hawks.
The 18-year-old Bonnyville, AB native compiled a 16-16-3 record last season, along with a 3.00 goals-against average and a .899 save percentage.
Croteau (6' 3", 195) was the 10th-ranked goaltender in NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American netminders.
Round 7
Canadiens select Petteri Nurmi with 194th overall pick
The 20-year-old Finnish defenseman spent the majority of last season with HPK Hameenlinna in the SM-liiga, registering four points (1 goal, 3 assists) in 58 games.
Nurmi (6' 0", 167) was the 136th-ranked prospect in NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of International skaters.

Canadiens select Miguël Tourigny with 216th overall pick
Hughes closed the Draft by selecting the 20-year-old defenseman, who hails from Victoriaville, QC.
Tourigny amassed 80 points this past season (31 goals, 39 assists) between Blainville-Boisbriand and Acadie-Bathurst in the QMJHL.

Tourigny (5' 8", 168) earned a spot on the League's First All-Star Team.
He was the 147th-ranked prospect in NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American skaters.
