Russia reached the WJC semi-finals on Monday with a 4-0 win over the surprising Danes.
Habs prospect Mikhail Sergachev enjoyed 19:56 of ice time, but was held scoreless in the shutout win. The Russian defenseman fired two shots on goal and finished the game with a plus-1 differential.
Russia will now face the United States in Wednesday's semi-final at the Bell Centre.
Canada 5 - Czech Republic 3
It was close, but Canada won its quarter-final matchup against the Czech Republic 5-3 on home ice, Monday in Montreal.
The Canadians will be back in action at the Bell Centre to face Sweden in Wednesday's semi-final, at 7:30 p.m.
Habs prospect Noah Juulsen was held scoreless against the Czechs, finishing his night with a 0 differential. He was also called for a delay of game penalty early in the contest.
