2015 Main Camp - Day 2

- After undergoing physical and medical testing on Thursday, players hit the ice at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard on Friday morning to begin preparing for the 2015-16 campaign.

- The 2015 Main Camp consists of three groups – Team A, Team B and Team C. All three teams participated in on-ice sessions on Day 2 of training camp.

- Among those players on Team A are Carey Price, Andrei Markov, P.K. Subban, Nathan Beaulieu, Tomas Plekanec, Brendan Gallagher and Torrey Mitchell. Team B includes the likes of Dustin Tokarski, Alexei Emelin, Jeff Petry, Greg Pateryn, Lars Eller, Alex Galchenyuk, Alexander Semin, Jacob De La Rose, David Desharnais, Dale Weise and Devante Smith-Pelly, while Josiah Didier and Mac Bennett are among eight players who make up Team C.

- Players unable to take part in training camp workouts on Friday due to injury or illness included Max Pacioretty (Knee), Tom Gilbert (Flu), Michael Bournival (Concussion-like symptoms), Mark MacMillan (Knee), Markus Eisenschmid (Abdomen) and Noah Juulsen (Concussion).

- At 11 a.m., Team A scrimmaged against Team B in front of a packed house, with Team A earning a 2-1 shootout victory. Alexander Semin and Zack Kassian lit the lamp in regulation, while Brian Flynn scored the shootout winner. Fans are invited to come back again when Team A and Team B square off on Saturday morning at 11 a.m.

- Earlier in the day, the Canadiens announced that the players had selected Max Pacioretty as the 29th captain in team history. In addition, Andrei Markov, Tomas Plekanec, P.K. Subban and Brendan Gallagher were named as Pacioretty's assistants.
