On what his impressions of Brandon Carlo is…
Yeah, I thought his mobility and his skating is pretty good for a big guy, you know, for his age. He’s strong as well. Has a good shot you know and again, just a young player who’s gaining a lot of experience here just being around... He’s only 18, 19 - he’s a young player but I see a lot of potential in him.

On if he plans to split the goalies tonight…

On if he knows which goalie will get the start tonight…
No. I don’t know yet actually. I haven’t looked… they’ll be half and half.

On if he made anything of Alexander Khokhlachev’s comments yesterday…
No I mean hey, I just kind of heard the whatever the title of the whatever, you know “he wants a chance.” But I don’t pay attention to those kinds of things. And for him, if he said he wants an opportunity, maybe he’s going to get one. But you know, whether he thinks he’s getting a fair one or not – you know I don’t think we’ve ever deprived anybody from getting a fair shot. You know we have to do our jobs in giving those guys a fair shot. And they have to do the job to earn themselves a fair shot. There’s a lot more to hockey than just stats; there’s a lot more to hockey than just that. I liked how he played in the playoffs last year – he’s a real gritty player and he was one of their best players, you know, so that doesn’t go unnoticed, you know. But you know, we’re starting here at camp so to me it’s not about giving ultimatums more than it’s about going out there and doing their job and giving the guys that deserve a chance, a chance. And that doesn’t go for just him that goes for everybody. Everybody’s going to get a chance that deserves a chance.
