BOSTON, MA - On Thursday, October 29, TD Bank and the Boston Bruins will debut the first round of the 2009-10 TD Bank Mini 1-On-1 youth hockey competition during the Boston Bruins home game against the New Jersey Devils.

As an added bonus, the Bruins have invited eight TD Bank Mini 1-on-1 participants for a live on-ice demonstration of the competition, which will take place during the second intermission. Among the eight participants will be 9-year-old Oliver Wahlstrom from Cumberland, Maine whose brilliant goal has become a viral video sensation and has been broadcast on television stations throughout the country. Fans can view the goal at www.bostonbruinsTV.com. Just before the group takes the ice, they will get a few hockey tips from Bruins Milan Lucic and Marc Savard, who will be watching the shoot out from the bench during the second intermission of the Bruins/Devils game.

TD Bank Mini 1-On-1 will be televised in high definition on NESN during the intermissions of Bruins games. Each airing will also be available on the NESN Web site with the ability to share video links online. A complete TD Bank Mini 1-On-1 schedule is available on the NESN web page at www.nesn.com. The 2009 competition features the original point-scoring format, with teams earning points for scoring on each of three penalty shots in a one-on-one set-up.

The competition was taped on the ice at the TD Garden October 4, 2009 and featured four categories: boys age eight and under, girls age 10 and under, boys age 10 and under and girls age 12 and under. The single-elimination competition included players from across New England.
