SECOND EPISODE OF BRUINS ACADEMY TO AIR 1/19: The second episode of Bruins Academy on NESN airs on January 19 at 6:30 p.m. In this episode Bruins Academy visits Frank Vatrano's alma mater the University of Massachusetts, checks in with Providence Bruins goalie Zane McIntyre and catches up with Predators captain Shea Weber who gives the low-down on the host city of the upcoming NHL All Star Game, Nashville. The premiere episode of “Bruins Academy” aired on Sunday, December 20 at 3:30 p.m. on NESN. The series is a fast-paced, educational Black & Gold-themed program created for youth who love the game of hockey. One 30-minute episode will air per month on NESN, and the premiere episode can be viewed on and on the Bruins mobile app.

POWER PLAY PLACED AT THE TOP: The Bruins power play continues to lead the NHL. The team is 33 for 116 (28.4%), with the next highest percentage being 26.2% (WSH). The Bruins penalty kill has also improved to 83.0%, which means their penalty kill is seventh best in the league. The Bruins are third in the NHL for number of goals scored per game with an average of 2.95.

BEHIND THE B: The next episode of Behind the B presented by ALEX AND ANI airs on Thursday, January 21 at 11:00 p.m. To catch up on Episodes 1–7 of Behind the B presented by ALEX AND ANI, head to There will be a total of 13 episodes that are slated to air throughout the 2015-16 season and will be narrated by actor and Worcester, MA native Denis Leary.

BRUINS ON THE AIRWAVES: Bruins defenseman Torey Krug has been confirmed as a weekly call-in guest with 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Scott Zolak and Marc Bertrand (Zo and Bertrand), which airs weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Adam McQuaid will be a regular guest on 100.7 WZLX with Kevin Karlson and Pete McKenzie (Karlson & McKenzie), which airs weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Call-in days and times are dependent upon the B’s schedule. Kevan Miller will be calling in to 98.5 The Sports Hub with Fred Toucher and Rich Shertenlieb (Toucher and Rich). The show airs weekdays 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.


UPCOMING GAMES BROADCAST SCHEDULE: NESN reporters Jack Edwards, Andy Brickley and Sarah Davis will be covering the Bruins’ upcoming matchups against the Toronto Maple Leafs on January 16, the Montreal Canadiens on January 19 and the Vancouver Canucks on January 21. The Toronto game will also be available on CBC and CITY, and the Vancouver game will be available on SN360.
