EIGHTH ANNUAL “CUTS FOR A CAUSE”: Patrice Bergeron is teaming up with 98.5 The Sports Hub and members of the 2014-15 Bruins roster for the eighth annual "Cuts for a Cause" event on Tuesday, March 24 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (VIP session: 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.) at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel (50 Park Plaza at Arlington, Boston, MA). Bergeron and the full team roster will have their heads shaved by auction winners to show their support and raise money for the Boston Bruins Foundation and Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. Fans can purchase tickets to the event, hosted by Patrice Bergeron along with Fred "Toucher" Toettcher and Rich Shertenlieb of the Toucher & Rich show on 98.5 The Sports Hub, at bostonbruins.com/cutsforacause.  General Admission tickets are available for $30. Ticket prices do not include processing fees.  Over the past seven years the Cuts for a Cause event has raised over $360,000 for charity.  Media interested in covering the event should email Erika Wentzell (ewentzell@bostonbruins.com) for credentials and additional media information. Players will be available for interviews after they have their heads shaved on stage, the best media opportunities will take place starting at 4:30 p.m. in the media area.

BRUINS ST. PATRICK’S DAY JERSEY AUCTION: The Boston Bruins Foundation will be auctioning off the players’ iconic St. Patrick’s Day practice jerseys worn on March 17 versus the Buffalo. Select jerseys will be available in game on March 26 at the Boston Bruins Foundation table on the Loge Level, Section 4. A limited number of jerseys will be available via an online raffle and auction following the game. For your chance to bid on these iconic jerseys, please visit bostonbruins.com/foundation.

BRUINS ALUMNI IN THE COMMUNITY: The Boston Bruins Alumni will play the Baystate Financial All Stars in a charity game to benefit The Baystate Foundation on Saturday, March 21st at 12:30 p.m. at the Boch Ice Arena (1105 East St., Dedham, MA). Members of the Bruins Alumni team including the Director of the Boston Bruins Foundation, Bob Sweeney, Reggie Lemelin and Mike Krushelnyski are expected to take the ice. On Sunday, March 22nd the Fisher House Boston Hockey Team featuring the West Point Alumni will take on the Bruins Alumni at the New England Sports Center, 121 Donald Lynch Blvd. Marlborough, MA.  Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient, Sergeant Ryan Pitts will drop the puck at 1:00pm.  Bruins Alumni President, Rick Middleton is expected to be joined on the ice by fellow teammates Tom Songin, Frank Simonetti, and Tim Sweeney to name a few, along with special guest, Frankie Cosolito, from Catholic Memorial.  Proceeds from the game will benefit The Fisher House Boston.  Tickets are $20 per adult and $5 for children 12 and under. SEASON 2 OF BEHIND THE B: Season Two of the Black & Gold’s all-access television series “Behind the B” presented by Alex and Ani has begun, with 13 episodes slated to air during the 2014-15 season. All episodes will again be narrated by actor and Worcester, MA native, Denis Leary.

BOSTON BRUINS FOUNDATION 50/50 RAFFLE:  During each Boston Bruins home game, the Boston Bruins Foundation conducts the 50/50 raffle presented by Health Services Administrators. Fifty percent of the proceeds go towards the beneficiary hosted by the Bruins Foundation that night, while the other fifty percent of the proceeds go to one lucky winner. The 50/50 program comprises one third of the annual fundraising for the Boston Bruins Foundation. After the winning ticket is selected, the number will be announced in-game giving the winner the opportunity to claim their prize at Guest Services on the Loge Level, Section 4 or by checking the numbers posted on the Bruins Foundation Website within 30 days of the winning game, which can be found at the following link: http://bruins.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=101168.

BRUINS ON THE AIRWAVES: Bruins defenseman Torey Krug has been confirmed as a weekly call-in guest with 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Scott Zolak and Marc Betrand, which airs weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., while forward Reilly Smith is expected to be regular a guest with 98.5's Fred Toucher and Rich Shertenlieb (Toucher and Rich), which airs weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and Bruins President Cam Neely will also be a guest with Mike Felger and Tony Massarotti  (Felger and Mazz) on their show, which airs weekdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Chris Kelly will be a regular guest on 100.7 WZLX with Kevin Karlson and Pete McKenzie (Karlson & McKenzie), which airs weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  Call-in days and times are dependent upon the B’s schedule.

OFF THE ICE…

PATRICE’S PALS: As a part of his continuing charitable initiative Patrice’s Pals, Bruins alternate captain Patrice Bergeron invites children from local hospitals and other organizations to experience a Bruins home game from his luxury suite. Children and their families receive goodie bags filled with Bruins memorabilia, a visit from the Bruins Mascot Blades and Bruins Ice Girls, as well as a feature on the Garden HDX. After the game, Patrice’s Pals are escorted to ice level and introduced to Patrice himself who signs autographs and takes pictures with his Pals.

COMMUNITY TICKET PROGRAM: For the entirety of the Boston Bruins 2014-15 regular season, Bruins Chief Executive Officer Charlie Jacobs is donating ten balcony tickets to every home game to children from charitable organizations across New England, who are invited to enjoy a Bruins home game from these donated seats.

STATS YOU MAY FIND INTERESTING…

THREE-IN-FOURS: The Bruins completed their 14th set of three games in four nights this season and are currently 9-3-2 in first games, 6-8-0 in second games and 5-7-1 in the third games.

SUNSHINE STATE OF MIND: The Bruins have a combined 19-0-0 record against their two weekend opponents, Florida and Tampa Bay, having won their last 10 games against Lightning and last nine against Panthers. The last losses to these teams came on the same road trip, a 6-1 loss at Tampa Bay on 3/13/12 and a 6-2 loss at Florida on 3/15/12.

250 AND COUNTING: Following Tuesday’s home game against the Buffalo Sabres, the Boston Bruins have sold out 250 straight regular season and playoff games. This sellout streak began on December 5, 2009 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The last game the Bruins did not have 17,565 in attendance at the Garden was on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 when they hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning (16,553).
