POWER PLAY POWERS ON: The Bruins power play continues to lead the NHL. The team is 26 for 90 (28.9%), with the next highest percentage being 25.7% (WSH).

ON THE ROAD AGAIN:  Sunday’s game at Ottawa will be the Bruins’ 16th game on the road this season. The Bruins have an 11-2-2 record on the road. Their road record is second in the Eastern Conference and fourth in the NHL overall. The Bruins are currently in second place overall in the Atlantic Division with a 19-10-4 record and 42 points, which is just one point shy of the first place Montreal Canadiens.

2016 BRIDGESTONE NHL WINTER CLASSIC MEDIA SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: The NHL announced the media schedule of events for the 2016 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic for December 30 through January 1. For the full schedule please see the “Upcoming Practice Schedule and Media Availability” section of the Week Ahead listed below.

BEHIND THE B SPECIAL EPISODE AIRS TOMORROW: Be sure to tune in tomorrow, December 27 at 8:00 p.m. on NESN for a special Behind The B episode as the team is split into four groups and participates in an "Amazing Race"-style scavenger hunt around Boston. Other exclusive Behind the B, presented by ALEX AND ANI, content will be available on www.bostonbruins.com and the Boston Bruins Digital Entertainment Network (Bruins DEN) throughout the season. To catch up on Episodes 1–6 of Behind the B, head to www.bostonbruins.com/behindtheb.  There will be a total of 13 episodes that are slated to air throughout the 2015-16 season and will be narrated by actor and Worcester, MA native Denis Leary.

BOSTON BRUINS 8TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT PRESENTED BY AT&T: The Boston Bruins will host their 8th Annual Holiday Tournament presented by AT&T from December 27-30 at the Haverhill Valley Forum in Haverhill, MA (7 Parkridge Rd, Haverhill, MA 01835). The round robin format tournament will feature six divisions with a maximum of six teams per division. Each team will participate in a minimum of three games over a four-day period. New this year, AT&T and the Boston Bruins will be awarding all division finalists with a Boston Bruins prize pack, which will include complimentary tickets to the 2016 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic and more. All participants will receive a Boston Bruins gift bag and tournament T-shirt. Special guest appearances will be made during the tournament, including Bruins mascot Blades and Bruins alumni. On December 30 from 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 pm the B’s will host six post game ceremonies with AT&T giving 12 youth teams tickets to Winter Classic. EPIX PRESENTS ROAD TO THE NHL WINTER CLASSIC: EPIX Presents Road To the NHL Winter Classic™ has returned and made its U.S. television premiere on December 16 with its second episode airing on December 23. The weekly series, consisting of four one-hour episodes, focuses on the rivalry between the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens as they prepare for the 2016 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. on New Year’s Day 2016. This will be the second year that EPIX and the NHL® team up for this all-access look inside the lives of these elite professional athletes, their families and their fans. In addition, U.S. hockey fans will be able to stream each episode of EPIX Presents Road To the NHL Winter Classic live as it premieres on EPIX via EPIX.com and NHL.com. MBTA ANNOUNCES TRAIN TO GILLETTE STADIUM FOR WINTER CLASSIC: On Friday, January 1, 2016 the MBTA, in cooperation with Keolis Commuter Service and the Bruins, will be offering special passenger service to Gillette Stadium for the 2016 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic game between the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens. There will be two trains operating to the event, one originating from South Station in Boston (10:15 a.m.) and one originating from T.F. Green in Providence (10:00 a.m.). Trains will depart from Gillette Stadium 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game. Tickets will be available at North Station, South Station and Back Bay Station. Tickets will also be available for purchase via M-Ticket. A limited number of tickets may be available on the day of the event, prior to departure. Fares will be $15 per ticket. OFFICIAL BRUINS WINTER CLASSIC TAILGATE PARTY: Join the Boston Bruins Foundation at the Official Boston Bruins Tailgate Party on January 1 before the start of the 2016 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic at Rodman Ford in Foxborough, MA. Fans can choose from two available packages below. Each package provides hospitality passes, which includes a breakfast tailgate buffet, complimentary beverages, the opportunity for attendees to mix and mingle with Bruins Alumni, raffles, entertainment and more. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation and the Rodman Ride for Kids.

BRUINS ON THE AIRWAVES: Bruins defenseman Torey Krug has been confirmed as a weekly call-in guest with 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Scott Zolak and Marc Bertrand (Zo and Bertrand), which airs weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Adam McQuaid will be a regular guest on 100.7 WZLX with Kevin Karlson and Pete McKenzie (Karlson & McKenzie), which airs weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Call-in days and times are dependent upon the B’s schedule.
