MEDIA ACCREDITATION DEADLINE FOR WINTER CLASSIC IS TODAY (FRIDAY 11/13): The deadline to apply for media credentials for the 2016 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic is Today, Friday November 13 at 6:00 p.m., use the following link to apply for credentials: http://nhl.com/credentials.

STAT OF THE WEEK: The Bruins went one-for-two on the power play in Thursday’s game against the Colorado Avalanche and are now 17-for-50 (34.0%) on the season which leads the NHL. The Bruins have scored at least one power play goal in 12 of 15 games this season and are in a current stretch of having scored at least one power play goal in their last eight games (9 for 26, 34.6%). That is their longest streak of games with a goal on the man-advantage since an eight-game stretch in 2006 (15-55, 27.3%), which spanned from December 12 to 29.

MILESTONES APPROACHING: Dennis Seidenberg is two games shy of his 700th NHL contest while Adam McQuaid is also two games away from his 300th game, all of which will have come with the Bruins.
 
BOSTON BRUINS HOLIDAY TOY SHOPPING: On Monday, November 16, the entire Boston Bruins roster will participate in the Bruins Annual Holiday Toy Shopping event at Target in Everett, MA (1 Mystic View Rd, Everett, MA 02149) from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. All of the toys will be purchased through donations from the Bruins players, coaching staff and the Boston Bruins Foundation. Media interested in attending the Toy Shopping event should contact Erika Wentzell (ewentzell@bostonbruins.com) for details.  The toys purchased at the Holiday Toy Shopping event will be delivered to hospitals around Boston and given as gifts to over 600 children who are unable to celebrate the holidays at home. Bruins Hall of Famer Ray Bourque started the holiday toy shopping and delivery tradition when he was captain, and the event has continued through the years. Bruins Alternate Captain Patrice Bergeron will spearhead the Bruins Holiday Toy Shopping and Delivery for the sixth consecutive year. The hospitals receiving this year’s toy donations include Boston Children's Hospital, Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center, MassGeneral Hospital for Children, Shriners Hospital for Children, Franciscan Hospital for Children and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. The entire roster will deliver the toys to local hospitals on Thursday, December 10, additional details will be released closer to the event.

BRUINS TO HOST COACHING SYMPOSIUM ON 11/21 AT TD GARDEN: The Boston Bruins and USA Hockey are teaming up to bring youth hockey coaches a day of coaching education from members of the Boston Bruins Coaching Staff, USA Hockey and other experts in the field. On November 21, beginning at 7:15 a.m., Youth hockey coaches will listen to the expert panel present on all aspects of coaching, followed by age specific breakout sessions at TD Garden (100 Legends Way, Boston, MA 02114). USA Hockey coaches can earn their Level 2 and 3 certifications by attending the event. B’S SIGN THREE PROSPECTS: Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney announced on November 12 that the club had signed forwards Jake DeBrusk (1st round, 14th overall, 2015) and Zach Senyshyn (1st round, 15th overall, 2015) and defenseman Jeremy Lauzon (2nd round, 52nd overall, 2015) to entry-level contracts. PASS CLINIC TO TAKE PLACE IN SOUTH WINDSOR, CT: TD Bank and the Boston Bruins have teamed up for the tenth straight year to support New England youth hockey through the PASS (Partnership to Assist Skaters and Shooters) clinic series. The next clinic will take place on Monday, November 16 with Bruins alumni Tommy Songin visiting South Windsor Arena with South Windsor Youth Hockey at 5:30 p.m. PASS features a free on-ice clinic conducted by Bruins alumni and members of the Boston Bruins Youth Hockey Development Team. The clinic includes instruction on hockey fundamentals such as skating, passing and shooting, as well as a $1,000 donation from TD Bank to each hosting youth hockey organization. In addition, each individual participant will receive two tickets to an upcoming Bruins game as well as a TD Bank P.A.S.S. jersey and gift bag. MOVEMBER GROWS ON: Bruins players Matt Beleskey, Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara, Brett Connolly, Loui Eriksson, Jonas Gustavsson, Jimmy Hayes, Chris Kelly, David Krejci, Brad Marchand, Adam McQuaid, Colin Miller, Kevan Miller, Joe Morrow, David Pastrnak, Tyler Randell, Tuukka Rask, Dennis Seidenberg and Ryan Spooner continue to participate in Movember this month to show their support and raise awareness for men’s health. BOSTON BRUINS ALUMNI PLAY IN BENEFIT GAME IN NASHUA, NH: On Sunday, November 15, the Boston Bruins Alumni will be visiting Granite State to take on the New England Edge coaches in a benefit game for the New England Edge and the Nashua Food Pantry.  In anticipation of Thanksgiving, food donations will be collected at the game. Encouraged donations include boxed stuffing, canned gravy and vegetables and other traditional Thanksgiving food staples. The game will be held at the Conway Arena beginning at 3:00 p.m.  Alumni expected to participate include Reggie Lemelin, Terry O’Reilly and Andy Brickley to name a few.
