"As a nurse in one of the biggest COVID-19 hotspots in the state, I quickly learned that when a team works hard and supports one another it can achieve small victories against overwhelming odds. The virus is relentless. As caregivers, our devotion to our patients' health and emotional well-being must be just as unwavering. Thinking back to the Bruins' pursuit of the 2011 Stanley Cup, I remember the overtime games. The teams battled on and on in extra 20 minute chunks. Our Bruins were exhausted and dripping in sweat - struggling to make it over the boards to get on and off the ice. Any lack of focus could spell instant defeat. The team with the most grit and concentration would persevere.

"Our shifts at the hospital are a lot like those overtime battles, only the stakes are much higher. We are exhausted and drenched under layers of PPE; but our team of healthcare workers and support staff are strong. We will not lose this fight. Thank you for cheering our efforts! We love and miss our Bruins."
