#ProspectTBT: McQuaid's Photo Album

by Eric Russo / Boston Bruins

The following story is running as part of’s #ProspectTBT series, highlighting current Bruins and their paths to the NHL, including key markers like the NHL Entry Draft and the Boston Bruins Development Camp. – Every once in a while it’s good to take some time to look back, remember good times, maybe even pull out the old photo albums.

As part of this week’s installment of #ProspectTBT, Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid did just that, reflecting back on some photos of him from his first few years with the organization.

Here are his reactions:

First Boston Bruins headshot (2007):

“I’m not even sure what year this is, to be honest with you. Kind of making me think I should grow my hair back out again. But definitely, it’s pretty neat to see how fortunate I’ve been to wearing a Bruins jersey for a long time. I guess I’ve changed a little more than I thought.”

Development Camp Bowling Outing (2008):

“Not really sure what’s going on here. Looks like we’re bowling, I know we did go bowling. I’m assuming I just threw a strike. That’s what I’m assuming just happened. When you have the chance to say either you got a strike or you threw a gutter ball, you’re going to say you threw a strike.”

National Anthem during NHL Debut at Toronto (Dec. 19, 2009):

“I’m pretty sure this is my first picture of warmups from my very first game in Toronto. Pretty special day, obviously, got to have my family there, my billet family were all in the stands. To wear the Bruins jersey in Toronto, the team I watched growing up, it was Hockey Night in Canada.

“It was a very special moment. I know there were a lot of butterflies going on at this moment during the national anthem. A day I’ll never forget, that’s for sure.”

First Shirts Off Their Back (April 10, 2010):

“This looks like it’s from the Jerseys off Our Back, pretty unique thing we get to do with the fans at the end of the year, kind of just a thank you to give back for all the support they give us. I know it’s a day that guys enjoy and look forward to.

“The little guy here – looks like Tuukka’s his favorite player, so he may be a little disappointed that he didn’t get Tuukka’s jersey. But again, it’s so neat to get to meet the fans and interact.

“Hopefully it means as much to this little guy as it meant to me to get to meet one another.”

The 2016 Boston Bruins Development Camp, presented by AT&T, will take place from July 12-15, at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington, Mass. All on-ice sessions are open to the public, with the camp’s roster to be announced at a later date. For the latest information on current Bruins prospects, bookmark
