TRAINING CAMP PRESENTED BY AT&T BREAKDOWN:
52 players are currently in Boston’s training camp, with a breakdown of 31 forwards, 17 defensemen and four goaltenders. 21 were drafted by Boston, 15 were acquired in trade 13 were signed as free agents (either with Boston or Providence) and three were invited to camp on a pro tryout agreements.  New faces to Boston include Chris Breen (free agent), Steve Eminger (free agent signed to AHL contract), Simon Gagne (tryout), Bracken Kearns (tryout) and Ville Leino (tryout). Players who spent time on the Bruins’ 2013-14 roster who have moved on from Boston include Jarome Iginla, Nick Johnson, Andrej Meszaros, Corey Potter and Shawn Thornton.

EPISODE 2 OF BEHIND THE B PRESENTED BY ALEX AND ANI: The second episode of Behind the B Presented by Alex and Ani is scheduled to air on Tuesday, October 7 at 8:00 p.m. The second season kicked off on September 15 with an hour-long premiere with chronicled the NHL Draft, Development Camp and the informal practices that began in September. The show also visited two Kevan Miller and Dennis Seidenberg in their hometowns on opposite coasts of the country and documented the contract signing of one of the team's top players. A total of 13 episodes are slated to air for the second season and are again being narrated by Worcester, MA native, Denis Leary.

CAPITALS NOTEBOOK: 
The Washington Capitals will play eight preseason games in 2014-15, including four games at Verizon Center.  Washington is 6-4-0 in their last 10 regular season games at TD Garden and 6-3-1 in its last 10 regular-season games against Boston at Verizon Center… Goaltender Phoenix Copley made his NHL preseason debut on Sunday against Buffalo and made six saves in 20 minutes of game action… Troy Brouwer and Eric Fehr lead the Caps in points thus far this preseason, each tallying a goal and an assist.

Bruins power play: 1-for-2 (50.0%), Bruins penalty kill: 3-for-4 (75.0%)… Capitals power play: 2-for-5 (40.0%), Capitals penalty kill: 5-for-9 (55.5%).
