Today’s Game

The Bruins host the Thrashers today in the third of four games between these teams this season and the first of two games of this season's series at TD Banknorth Garden. The Bruins are 18-16-4 thus far this season and are 8-6-2 this season on home ice. The Thrashers are 19-19-1 overall this season with a 9-10-1 record on the road. The Bruins are 3-3-0 this season vs. Southeast Division teams and they are 13-13-4 overall vs. Eastern Conference foes. The Thrashers are 5-7-0 this season vs. Northeast Division teams and they are 17-17-1 overall vs. Eastern Conference opponents.

Lifetime Series
The Bruins are 14-11-2-3 lifetime vs. Atlanta with the Thrashers holding a 102-92 scoring edge in those 30 games. The Bruins are 6-4-2-2 lifetime vs, the Thrashers in Boston with Atlanta holding a 51-47 scoring advantage in those 14 contests. The Bruins have lost their last six games at 0-5-1, their longest such stretch since dropping the last six games of the 2006-07 season, with a 3-2 loss to Ottawa on Dec. 18, a 5-4 shootout loss to Pittsburgh on Dec. 20, a 4-1 loss to St. Louis on Dec. 22, a 4-2 setback in Pittsburgh on Dec. 23, a 4-3 loss in Carolina on Dec. 28 and a 5-0 loss in Atlanta on Dec. 29. Their last win was a 2-0 victory over Columbus on Dec. 15 and the Bruins are 4-6-1 in their last 11 games overall.

Recent Thrashers Games
The Thrashers snapped their two-game losing streak with a 5-0 win over Boston on Dec. 29. That followed a 2-0 loss in Columbus on Dec. 26 and a 5-3 setback to Florida on Dec. 27. They are 5-2-0 in their last seven games and are 5-6-0 in their last 11 games overall.

53—Jeremy Reich—LW
