BOSTON BRUINS HEAD COACH CLAUDE JULIEN PRESS CONFERENCE AT 1:02 PM
On if a good night's sleep goes a long way in terms of getting a fresh start today…

I don’t think there was any issues after last night’s game as far as our effort and the opportunities we had. So it’s just about coming back in and getting ourselves ready for tomorrow.

On if the feeling in the room is still a positive one…
Of course it is. I said it last night, there was no panic after the game. It was only Game 1, and it's a long series.

On David Krejci’s line stringing together quality performances…
You know right now, it's about the team. I don’t necessarily dissect individuals, and at the end of the night, did we play well enough to win? And whether their line scores, or doesn’t score and stuff like that, it doesn’t really matter at this point. It’s about winning hockey games, and yesterday we came up short, but there were tons of great scoring chances and we've just got to find a way to make those count and we’ll be okay.

On him not analyzing individuals, but Tuukka Rask still holding himself accountable and if that resonates with the team…
It’s emotions too right? It’s emotions, and he expects a lot of out of himself, so he’s in a better place today. He just had a good night’s sleep and we all know how he is. He’ll bounce back.

On switching left wings during last night's game…
That’s just coaching. That's just coaching. You put different players at different times. Same thing at the end there, had [Brad] Marchand on that line when we scored the tying goal. So I call it coaching, just you make those moves for all different reasons.

On if it's more effective to quickly transition up ice or regroup…
It depends. It all depends on the situation. Sometimes, you’re trying to get a line change and so you regroup a little quicker. Sometimes the other team is making a line change, so you want the transition to be a lot quicker and move it up quick. So it depends on the game situation, whether your players are in position or not, so a lot of that comes into play.

On the statement issued by Cam Neely…
I certainly share the thoughts of Cam and our organization. It's just poor judgment, poor taste, and we don't associate ourselves with people like that, and people who think that way are not what we call our fans. They may think they are, but we certainly don't support that at all. It's a shame that this is still going around in this day and age, and that people are still thinking that way. For us, it's a shame and, as I mentioned, it's certainly not getting our support.

On that having a lot to do with social media, and if he has ever heard it on the bench from fans…
Not to my knowledge, no. There's a lot of good fans out there, and that's the sad part about it is that, you know, your good fans get tarnished because of comments like that from people who don't belong in that same group.

On if he would reach out to Malcolm Subban…
I think we're reaching out to everybody in that situation. You know, we've got Jarome Iginla on our team. Let's be realistic here about this. It's something we don't support.

On the danger of Carey Price becoming bigger in the players' eyes and them trying being too fine with their scoring opportunities…
That's you guys dissecting that stuff there, because it's not the way we think. There's a lot of good goaltenders in this League. We've got one. You know, and we basically still got three goals on him last night, so we're not there and certainly not thinking that same way. We've just got to play our game and the chances are there. I'm going to go back to what I said earlier; bury those great opportunities. We played well, but there were a lot of open nets that we missed, there was a lot of chances that if we would have shot them properly, instead of panicking maybe, we get ourselves a goal.

On how he felt about his team's physical game overall…
Yeah, I mean I don't what it ended up, 45 or something hits, but you know, we're not going to run out of position to finish our checks here. It's about being big and strong in the areas that you need to be, and when we're there, we like to use our size but certainly our game maybe, I thought we had a bit of a slow start, but the rest of the game was good.

On the fine line of trying to block a shot on the PK, versus letting Tuukka see the shot…
It depends on the situation. You're in the shooting lane, you're going to block it, but you try to give your goaltender the best view of it possible, and he was screened on a lot of those shots there last night, so as hard as he was on him, I don't think we're as hard on Tuukka as he was on himself, but that's Tuukka being Tuukka.
