Playoff Schedule, Credential Info Announced

BOSTON, MA – The Boston Bruins announced their game, practice and media availability schedule for the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoff Quarterfinal series against the Washington Capitals. Playoff credential policies are also outlined below. Please note that all members of the media covering Bruins practices must have a form of valid press identification with them and visible at all times.


Games 1 and 2 of the B’s/Capitals series will be played in Boston at the TD Garden on Thursday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. ET and on Saturday, April 14 at 3:00 p.m. ET.  The Capitals will then host the Bruins for Games 3 and 4 on Monday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. ET and Thursday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. ET at the Verizon Center.  If necessary, Game 5 is set for Saturday, April 21 at 3:00 p.m. ET in Boston, while Game 6 will be back in Washington on Sunday, April 22 (time TBD), and Game 7 will be played in Boston on Wednesday, April 25 (time TBD).

Television broadcast information is posted below. All playoff games can be heard on the Bruins flagship radio station, 98.5 FM The Sports Hub.

Please be aware that Bruins regular season credentials WILL NOT be valid for Bruins home games during the playoffs.  Members of the media must submit requests on a game-by-game basis. Please send an email to MediaIntern@bostonbruins.com by the respective deadline that contains the information in the CREDENTIALING section below.

Unlike previous years, there will not be a media hotel rate on the road for those members of the press traveling to Washington.

Members of the media who are approved for playoff credentials can pick them up at the Bruins Media Will Call table from 9:30 a.m. ET - 8:30 p.m. ET on GAMEDAYS.  The Bruins Media Will Call table is located at the Back Security Entrance on the East Side of the TD Garden.

PHOTOGRAPHER POSITIONS (HOME GAMES):
The Bruins will have a total of 28 still photographer positions at the TD Garden for the playoffs.  These positions will be assigned by the Bruins during a photographers meeting which will be held 90 minutes prior to all home games.  The photographers meeting will take place in the Zamboni entrance on (level 3), and will be led by a member of the Bruins communications staff.
