NASHVILLE - It was a special weekend for the Bruins as they welcomed their dads along with them during the team's trip to Philadelphia and Nashville. Twenty-one B's fathers joined their sons for an up-close look at life on the road in the NHL.
"It's fun to see them in this light, they all open up," Brad Marchand said over the weekend. "They're all very exited to be here and be around the team, it's a pretty special thing. They're all opening up, especially at dinner [on Saturday] night, spending a little time together. They're getting comfortable with one another and you see how they're integrating all together with the players…normally it's after a game, you say hi quick and kind of move on. Actually getting to know one another and spending some time is a lot of fun.
"We can all say that we wouldn't be here without our parents and what they gave up…we're fortunate."
