BostonBruins.com -- Boston Bruins forward Daniel Paille is always looking to please his coaches, teammates, and of course the Black & Gold fans.
While those fans were on an emotional high this spring, going forward Paille looks to please by not just contributing to his team’s efforts in a repeat season, but by also maintaining the phenomenal play he demonstrated over the course of last season’s playoffs.
“I think they like to expect the last couple of rounds, how I played and I think trying to base on that type of effort and that type of speed,” Paille said.
“I obviously don’t want to disappoint them and I know they’re a big, hard working crew so I want to represent that as well.”
Paille was a part of a very important fourth line for the B’s last season, along with Shawn Thornton and Gregory Campbell. He believes keeping that line, as well has the team, together is important for the Bruins to continue to succeed.
“Obviously I like the fact that we have most of the guys coming back and we don’t have to worry about, I guess chemistry too much,” he said.
He, along with the rest of the Bruins, is in the midst of celebrating his championship summer, but the team knows that the NHL season is rapidly approaching and once it does, it’s a clean slate once again.
“Well obviously now we break the season into brackets and realize that our main goal is to make the playoffs and obviously when you make the playoffs anything can happen,” said Paille.
The Boston Bruins would love to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions, but Paille knows that they need to take it one game at a time and try to actually enjoy the season for what it is.
“I just want to try to enjoy the season and obviously try to win one more time.”
