BOSTON, MA -
Boston Bruins Principal Charlie Jacobs announced today that Ray Bourque, Cam Neely, Terry O'Reilly and Bobby Orr will be among the Bruins greats to participate in the “First Skate at Fenway” on Friday, December 18 at 9:30 a.m. at Fenway Park (4 Yawkey Way, Boston, MA 02215).
Joining Bourque, Neely, O'Reilly and Orr will be: Lyndon Byers, Cleon Daskalakis, Gary Doak, Ken Hodge, Ken Linseman, John McKenzie, Rick Middleton, Jay Miller, Brad Park, Milt Schmidt, Assistant General Manager Don Sweeney and Boston Bruins Foundation Director of Development Bob Sweeney.
The participants in the First Skate will all meet at the TD Garden at 8:45 a.m. and head over to the Fenway in a caravan that will consist of trolleys, the Bruins Hummer, and a Zamboni. The caravan represents the transition of Bruins hockey from the TD Garden to Fenway Park. Also riding in the caravan and participating in the First Skate will be 15 youth hockey players from the Boston area who were selected by the Bruins organization.
After the Caravan arrives at Fenway, the alumni and youth hockey players will take the ice from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Media availability for the participants will take place after the skate.
The Bruins Communications Staff is requesting the members of the media interested in covering the festivities RSVP to Kelly Mohr via email, firstname.lastname@example.org. On the day of the event, members of the media will be able to check in and enter Fenway Park at Gate D.
